Introduction
A receipt with an integrated thank-you letter is usually generated in duplicate. The thank-you letter is positioned at the top of the page, followed by the two copies of the receipt.
The main advantage of the receipt with integrated thank-you is the paper savings it can provide, since only one sheet is sent to the donor (rather than a receipt and a letter on separate sheets).
On a standard receipt (reçu de type standard), the space reserved for the thank-you letter will always be the same from one letter to another. If the thank-you letter is shorter than the available space, the difference will be left blank. Receipts will therefore always be in the same place on the sheet.
On a Word-type receipt (reçu de type Word), the integrated thank-you letter is inserted as a merge field predefined in the master document. Therefore, there will be no specific space reserved for the letter in the master document. If the letter is too short, you will need to manually insert spaces by using the "Enter" key when composing the letter to ensure that the receipts are always in the same place on the page.
Receipt configuration
Before configuring the thank-you letter, configure the general settings for the receipt (configuration générale du reçu) and, depending on the case, configure a standard receipt (configuration d'un reçu standard) or a Word receipt (configuration d'un reçu Word).

Choice of thank-you letter to include with the receipt
To include a thank-you letter with a receipt, you must indicate which thank-you letter should be used for each donation occasion.
It is possible to specify a single default thank-you letter that will be used most often. However, it may be necessary to use more than one type of thank-you letter for the same donation occasion. In this case, the thank-you letter to be used can be selected when entering the transaction. It is therefore possible to manually use different thank-you letters within the same occasion.
Inclusion of the thank-you letter with the receipt
Standard receipt
For a standard receipt with an integrated thank-you letter, Prodon will automatically integrate the thank-you letter into the receipt.
Word receipt
NOTE: This type of document is generally more complex than a standard Word document, so you will need a certain level of proficiency in Word to configure it correctly.
To create a Word-type receipt with an integrated thank-you letter, you must create a master document of the "Receipt" type. In this master document, simply add the merge field named "Thank-you". By adding this merge field to the master document, the thank-you letter selected for the occasion will automatically be integrated into the master document (for more details, see "Selecting the thank-you letter to be integrated into the receipt".
